Thornton Cleveleys Horse Club AGM:

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 13 January 2009, at the River Wyre Hotel, Mains Lane, Poulton le Fylde, at 8pm. Click here to download the Nomination form for club officers. Please complete the form and return to Tracey Edwards, 20 Ullswater Ave., Thornton Cleveleys, FY5 4AW together with any other business for the AGM at least 10 days prior to the meeting.

Thornton Cleveleys Horse Club Annual Dinner:

The 2008 Annual presentation evening and dinner dance will be held on Sunday 7th December at the Cliffs Hotel, Blackpool. A traditional seasonal turkey five-course meal will be served. Please ensure that if you have special dietary or vegetarian requirements this is specified on the application form to ensure that a suitable substitute meal is provided. Tickets for the evening are £20.00 for adults (and children who are not members). Junior members tickets £11.50. Tickets are limited - contact Marion Thornley asap to avoid disappointment. Club Points System - Qualification:

Members are reminded that in order to qualify for the Club Points System, you need to have:

Attended at least 3 shows (excluding the annual show).

Horse/Pony & Rider/Handler combination must have been the same for each of the qualifying shows. The combination presented in the ring must have been the same as that stated on the entry form. Any change in the combination will have have meant that a new set of points was created. Please don’t try and “con” the system as you will be eventually get caught out!!

If you have changed the horse/pony name (eg from show to stable name) please inform Tracey - the committee will endeavour to rectify all points issues, but the onus is on the competitor.

Return of Annual Trophies:

As Dinner Dance trophy winners were unable to hand in trophies at the September show could you please drop them off to a committee member as soon as possible. If this is a problem please contact M. Williamson immediately – don’t wait for her to have to contact YOU.

Spring Festival Dressage:

Congratulations to all club members who qualified for the Spring Festival Dressage Tests. Most members were placed and Amelia Markey with My Best Bud became Reserve Champion of the weekend.

Spring 2008 Festival of Champions:

Congratulations from the Chairman and Committee to all members who represented the club at the Spring Festival. Once again you were a credit to the club. We were placed 3rd with 229 points trailing behind Brookhead Warrington RC at 254 points and Valiants H & PC at 288 points.
